Oura x Toy Story 5
Are you A Kid At Heart?
Older Gen Z & younger Millennials are looking down the barrel of their thirties and feeling old as hell. We’re more concerned with wellness than ever, investing in wearable fitness trackers like the Oura Ring to learn more about the inner workings of our body. But while we're desperate to prevent the physical signs of age, we’re also more than happy to let our brains rot on social media all day.
However: when it comes to living longer—and enjoying life longer—it actually pays to have fun. Like, real fun. Not doomscrolling in bed fun. Research shows that consistently engaging in creative activity and indulging in hobbies leads slower brain aging and better cardiovascular outcomes.
So really, the best thing you can do stave off Father Time is tap into the imagination and energy of your inner child. That’s why Oura Ring is teaming up with Toy Story 5 to encourage their users to inject some playtime into their routine, and potentially lower their cardiovascular age.
We’re asking: Are You A Kid At Heart?
Playtime starts…Now.
Oura x Toy Story 5 will hit the streets with some spontaneous guerilla marketing.
These experiential activations are designed help adults find the potential for playfulness in their every day–adding some whimsy to their workout routine, a little chaos to the commute.
Hopskotch on popular running trails will encourage people to mix up their standard workout with a classic schoolyard game.
Painted staircases in public parks and squares will ask people to skip every other step on their way up, like they used to as a kid.
An oversized game of Dance-Dance Revolution on the platform of an NYC subway will get hearts pumping and early aughts’ nostalgia coursing through their veins.
In-App
A new challenge will pop up when you first open the Oura ring app, prompting you to learn more about creative activities and your cardiovascular health—and then join the quest to lower your cardiovascular age.
Throughout the challenge,
Oura Ring will suggest creative playtime hobbies like:
Drawing
Dancing
Coloring
Playing tag
When you kick off the Kid At Heart challenge, users in your Oura circles get a notification prompting them to join in.
So you can play WITH your friends and family...
or, if you’re inner child’s a little more ruthless: compete against them to see who can age backwards the fastest.
When your cardiovascular age goes down, you’ll be congratulated by Woody or one of the other Toy Story 5 ensemble, and prompted to share you progress on social.
But if you’ve been slacking on playtime and your cardiovascular age goes up…then the villain of Toy Story 5, Lilypad, pops up to taunt you.
Users who managed to lower their cardiovascular age by the time Toy Story 5 hits theaters will receive a code to buy a discounted child-price ticket to see the movie.
